Ride-Hailing with 0% Commission
Wasel is a ride-hailing platform for Jordan two Flutter apps and a real-time Node backend built around one decision that changes everything for the driver: the platform takes no cut of the fare.
The Problem
Global ride-hailing apps take a cut of every single trip, so a driver's best day is also the platform's best day and he still ends it with a fraction of what he earned. On top of that, the apps themselves are dense: too many buttons, too many decisions per screen.
Our Solution
A flat subscription instead of a commission: 5 JOD for a day or 100 JOD for a month, unlimited trips in both, and every dinar of every fare stays with the driver. The interface was rebuilt on one rule one screen, one goal, one primary button so a driver in traffic never has to read.
Features
Passengers track their driver live on the map. Drivers get optimized navigation to pickup points.
Two fully separate Flutter apps tailored for each user type with distinct UX flows.
The driver pays 5 JOD a day or 100 a month and keeps every dinar of every fare. No per-trip cut, unlimited rides, cancel any time.
Passengers top up a wallet, pay cashlessly, and transfer balance to another rider by code.
Full trip lifecycle request, accept, start, complete with history and receipts.
Subscription time left, today's earnings, hours worked, and trips all on the home screen, with one toggle to go online.
The interface was rebuilt against a written design spec: no screen asks two questions, and each has exactly one primary button at the bottom.
